The topic of our 2006 meeting “Knowledge, Values, and Growth“ formed three important elements of European unity. Growth, without the underlying foundation of shared values seems inconceivable. Common values without knowledge are unobtainable. Knowledge also forms an important basis for a common and enlarged Europe, which must be underpinned by an agreed constitution.

The advancement of knowledge, understanding and moral values was and is an important concern of the youth conference in Ansbach, which is why the following topics were discussed:

Historical and present day relations between countries

Religion, Human Rights and Human Dignity

Women's rights & abortion

European foreign and defence policy

Atmospheric change and regenerative energy recources
